I left the hospice later than normal this morning (I am back at work in a shortened hours capacity) so that I could share breakfast with Jane and we could talk. It was really good to be able to talk over the past week's events and understand what Jane would like for the future - something quite impossible to contemplate 7 days ago.
Jane has more colour in her cheeks now and although she tires very easily she has periods of talking and joking too. We have added soup to the menu although custard remains a firm favourite.
We are blessed; we know it.
God bless you too.

could we perhaps try a little live yoghurt along with the obviously very necessary custard? Just to get those natural bacteria back into your body,Jane!
Heaps of love to you both
Jenni and Graham xx
I agree, plain yogurt is simply lovely, although my Mum always turns her nose up at it in favour of double whipping cream poured, in large quantities, over fruit.
I am amazed at how God is working and the fact that we can all see His awesomeness through you Jane, His faithful servant.
You all are inspirations. Be strong.
Much love, Vivienne and all of us.
how wonderful to think of Jane talking and joking again, this news must be putting huge smiles on many faces. Sending you all very big hugs and lots of love Susie and Jim xxx
Now my turn from the dizzy plains of Thanet! To
think of our beloved Jane sitting up and joking is just
Wonderful news! She is an inspiration to us all and her determination and tenacity ( yes we can pull the words out in 'Fanet when we need to!) is down to her strength and her continuing faith to be part of this life with us. Keep taking that custard girl! I send our special love as always. Jan and her gang! Xxxx
Hello to Jane's lovely friends - soup, yoghurt and custard are good, but I feel shortbread is important too! Janet, I hope there were no instances of soup being passed along under the school dining tables?
Love to you all, as well as to you and Jane, Peter, and all the family. Shane xx
Wonderful news Peter; I'm in awe of how you both & Lydia and Leo are showing such strength and external awareness. It is reflected from those days in Hohne when you & Jane were the life blood of our unit. Thoughts and prayers for you all remain in the forefront of my mind. Barbara Plummer sends her love also. I used to think that chocolate was the answer to all life's ills but obviously custard has overtaken it by miles! I can't begin to tell you how pleased we are to hear that Jane is doing so well. Huge hugs from us Woody & Richxx
